TED DOMINATES THE BOX OFFICE

tedd

During midnight showings on June 29, the R-rated comedy Ted generated more than laughs – it dominated the box office by earning $2.65 million on 1090 screens. That huge sum  all but guarantees Seth MacFarlane’s first foray into feature films is a massive success. According to Deadline.com, Ted’s fists of furry have the film on pace for a $50 million weekend – which could send it past The Hangover as the top-grossing opening for an original R-rated comedy.

Fans of the movie now have a unique opportunity to own a piece of comedy history – screen-used props and wardrobe items from the film are now available at TedMovieAuctions.com! Check out designer dresses worn on-screen by Mila Kunis, a sport coat worn on-screen by Mark Wahlberg – and more! Check out all the Ted auctions by clicking here – and place your bid today!

BEAR NECESSITY!

The wait is over! Seth MacFarlane’s first foray into major motion pictures, the rated-R comedy Ted, hits theaters June 29. Earlier this week at the Los Angeles premiere, one of the human stars of the film, Mark Wahlberg, discussed his stuffed counterpart who is certain to leave audiences laughing. “Despite the fact that he’s got the most foul mouth you’ve ever seen and he’s a bad influence, he’s got a heart,” Wahlberg told Reuters. “He’s very sweet, very kind and also very funny.” In a separate interview with ContactMusic.com, Wahlberg said fans of Family Guy will not be disappointed. “[Ted is] like Seth MacFarlane on steroids,” he said. “It really is. I saw ‘Family Guy’ and I thought, ‘Wow, he’s getting away with some of that stuff in a cartoon’… But now a feature film, Rated R, he pushes the envelope – there’s nobody he doesn’t offend either, everyone is fair game.” AS an added bonus, fans of the film will be able to own a piece of it! Wardrobe and prop auctions directly from the set of Ted are now available at VIP Fan Auctions. See the movie and then visit  TedMovieAuctions.com to see all of the Ted auctions!

TELLING STORIES

dc

The VIP Fan Blog recently asked Eureka creator Jaime Paglia to search his memory to share his all-time favorite television series – both science fiction and beyond – and to reflect on the experience of bringing his own series to the screen.

“It has been an amazing journey,” Paglia says. “It’s a little surreal to have an idea go from the page to the screen and have people around the world embrace it.”

Paglia says a variety of TV shows influenced him.

“I was a big fan of Star Trek, Star Trek: TNG, The X-Files and Twin Peaks,” he says. “I also loved non-sci fi shows like Northern Exposure. Having grown up in a small town in Oregon, I could relate to the characters and appreciated the sensibility. For me, Eureka was a blend of my favorite elements of all of them.”

Thankfully, there were no “Storycatchers” in Paglia’s pocket as he reminisced – otherwise, his memory might have been a blank slate. That’s what happened to the folks at Café Diem in the unforgettable third-season episode “You Don’t Know Jack” – and now one fan has the opportunity to own the “Storycatcher” technology! A dozen of the devices (including a carrying case) featured in the episode are available at VIP’s Eureka auction page.

FINAL SEASON PAJAMA PARTY

d

The ladies of Wisteria Lane sported a spectrum of fashions, but it was rare to see Bree Van de Kamp (played by Marcia Cross) wearing anything that could be considered casual. In the eighth season, however, Bree isn’t quite acting her usual conservative self and, in “The People Will Hear,” she isn’t dressing quite the same either. The cozy pajama pants, short and robe she wore during the episode (in which she is facing trial for the murder of Alejandro) is now available at VIP Fan Auctions (click here for photos and details).

Of course, some of the Desperate Housewives high-end fashions are also available at VIP Fan Auctions, including a Burberry jacket (plus jeans, earrings and shirt) worn on-screen by Felicity Huffman (as Lynette Scavo) in the eighth-season episode “Give Me the Blame;” a stunning green Thread Social dress worn by Eva Longoria (as Gabrielle Solis) in “Lost My Power;” an Abi Ferrin dress worn by Vanessa Williams (as Renee Perry) in “The Art of Making Art;” and an Isabel Marant shirt (plus jeans and tee-shirt) worn on-screen by Teri Hatcher (as Susan Mayer) in “With So Little To Be Sure Of.”

All of these and several more wardrobe items worn on-screen during the final season of Desperate Housewives are available at VIP Fan Auctions. Click here to see all of the available Desperate Housewives items (including Bree’s blouse pictured above) – and place your bid today. The auctions are ending soon.
