Don Draper as Clark Kent?

Could Mad Men’s John Hamm be the next in line to don the famous red cape and blue tights of Superman? “Those are sort of the Internet things that one person says and 15 more people Twitter it and then it becomes this sort of phenomenon,” the Emmy-winning actor actor said during a Sept. 16 segment of Live With Regis and Kelly (watch the clip here). “It’s sort of news to me, but if the powers-that-be are thinking that, I’d like them to get in touch with me. We can maybe discuss this.” You have to admit – he’s fresh off the success of The Town and his resemblance to the last son of Krypton is unmistakable. What do you think – is there anyone better suited than Don Draper to play the Man of Steel?

This season on Bones, when Booth returns from Afghanistan with a new love interest (played by Katheryn Winnick), Brennan experiences an emotion she’s not terribly familiar with – jealousy! “She feels something, but she doesn’t understand what’s happening,” Emily Deschanel told “She’s covered her emotions so much, and built this wall around her. I think there’s jealousy there, but she’d never admit it to anyone else and certainly she wouldn’t admit it to herself. I don’t even think she can let that happen.” Perhaps Brennan will turn the tables on Booth in November when they will reportedly go on a “cougar” cruise and some of the young men on the prowl for older women fall for Bones instead. The new season of Bones begins Sept. 23.

The Vampire Diaries’ Katerina Graham is channeling her inner Paul Abdul in her new music video, “Cold Hearted.” The actress/singer, who plays Bonnie Bennett on the CW series, updates Abdul’s 1989 hit “Cold Hearted Snake.” “I try to be a fighter in my character Bonnie Bennett on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and try to be a fighter in my music,” Graham told of the video, which finds the actress in a boxing ring. “I want to put that female self-empowerment in all of my art.” Check out the video here and tell us whether you think The Vampire Diaries is in danger of losing Graham to the stage.

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs, asked during New York’s Fashion Week why his new styles had made such an abrupt departure from his Mad Men-inspired look of recent years, told The Guardian (U.K.) newspaper, “That was last season – and I got a bit bored of people talking about breasts all the time.” Other designers were not as willing to dismiss the show’s distinct and influential look. What do you think? Is the Mad Men style looking dated?

Bo Duke (right) is coming to Wisteria Lane

Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello Files reports that Nancy Travis (Becker) has landed the role of Brian Austin Green’s mother on the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville) has also been hired to play his father. Green will play the young love interest of Marcia Cross’ Bree.

Despite published reports that the rock band Kings of Leon turning down a request by Glee to feature one of its songs in an episode this season, the show’s co-creator Ian Brennan says there was never any offer made.  “The Kings of Leon thing I didn’t really understand because we didn’t approach them,” Brennan revealed during a recent conference call. “I don’t know where that came from.” In fact, Brennan advised fans not to believe any rumors about songs that may be included on the series’ soundtrack this year. In fact, he says fans should expect fewer musical numbers. “This season we’re going to err on doing slightly fewer songs,” he said. In case anyone is asking, Kings of Leon is also reportedly not interested being nominated for a Nobel Prize, piloting a rocket to the moon or being knighted by the Queen of England… you know, in case anyone is offering.

The Family Guy episode “Partial Terms of Endearment,” I which Lois contemplating an abortion after agreeing to be a surrogate for a college friend who eventually dies, was deemed too sensitive for FOX television and banned from the air this past season. For those who are interested in seeing the Griffin’s comical take on the broadcast-taboo subject, however, FOX Home Video is packaging it for sale as a standalone DVD.

Family Guy creator, who has never shied away from satirizing controversial issues, told the New York Times that, “Times really have changed… The network is making a decision that is, unfortunately, probably based on people’s current ability to handle and dissect controversial narratives.”The New York Times article notes that the network told MacFarlane that the issue raised a red flag when he presented the subject matter, but green lit production of it.Last year at the Television Critics Association, FOX entertainment president Kevin Reilly, said the “rejection of the episode “was a business decision” because it represented “fragile subject matter at a sensitive time.”The network said in a statement that it fully supported “the producers’ right to make the episode and distribute it in whatever way they want,” and declined to elaborate on its decision.Fox previously banned the 2000 Family Guy episode “When You Wish upon A Weinstein,” but eventually aired the episode in 2004.The “Partial Terms of Endearment” episode will be released Sept. 28. It is available for pre-order at for $10.99.

Britney Spears and Glee's Brittany (Heather Morris)

The highly anticipated Britney Spears-themed episode of Glee isn’t going to be completely full of love for the pop superstar. Apparently, Mr. Schuester is ”very anti-Britney in the show,” actor Matthew Morrison told TV Guide.  Earlier this year, Morrison reportedly told journalists that he had hoped there would not be a Spears-themed episode (which Morrison refutes) in Season 2, and that sentiment has been written into the show. Spears will make a cameo appearance on Glee’s Sept. 28 episode.
