THE PIRATE KING

Blackbeard didn’t just sail the high seas, he commanded them. As big and burly in person as in reputation, Edward “Blackbeard” Teach was as brilliant as he was fierce. The mere mention of his name struck fear in the hearts of honest men and pirates alike. In the epic Starz series Black Sails, Blackbeard (played by Ray Stevenson) valued strength above all else, and whether it was with cannons, fists, pistols or knives, Blackbeard loved the battle. Fans of Black Sails now have an opportunity to claim a piece of Blackbeard’s legend – VIP Fan Auctions is offering the dagger he used on-screen in the series. Silver with a gray handle, the prop 11-inch blade Blackbeard kept tucked in his belt (pictured above) is designed to look authentic and will soon be in the treasure chest of the fan who casts the winning bid. A PIRATE’S LIFE

Black Sails remains the most addictive and intense high-seas tale ever to plunder television. The Starz series is also responsible for bringing a new generation of readers to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel Treasure Island simply for a glimpse into the future of Black Sails stalwarts like Long John Silver and Billy Bones – two key figures in the pirate rebellion. VIP Fan Auctions is offering fans of Black Sails a chance to claim a piece of the groundbreaking series by offering daggers wielded on-screen by several pirate legends – including the dagger of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens), a blade used on-screen by Charles Vane (Zach McGowan), a weapon of choice that belonged to the cut-throat Anne Bonny (Clara Paget), Blackbeard’s (Ray Stevenson) deadly steel and a gold-handled knife used by Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz). SILVER’S WARE

The legend of Long John Silver may have sprung from the imagination of Billy Bones to haunt those who opposed to those who “flew the black,” but the man who inspired the myth quickly lived up to the lore. John Silver (played by Luke Arnold) did what no one else could – he “unmade” Captain Flint to bring peace to Nassau, and while he relied much more on guile and cunning than weapons to lead his crew, VIP Fan Auctions is offering the dagger Silver wielded on-screen during the final season of Black Sails. The prop dagger measures more than 15-inches long, features a brown and gold handle (seen tucked into Silver’s belt, above) and has been designed by the Black Sails props department to look authentic. Don’t miss this chance to claim a piece of TV history used by a legendary pirate. Click here for photos and more information about the prop dagger – and get in on the bidding today!

WAR MACHINE

Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) wanted a war. The unflinching captain of the Walrus wanted it so badly that he would kill friends and enemies alike who dared stand in his way. He would steal, destroy and betray for his war – all to make England pay for taking away the one he loved back when he was known simply as James McGraw. To stop him from having his war, John Silver (Luke Arnold) couldn’t kill Flint – he had to “undo” him, the high-seas war-machine that McGraw conjured. The outfit Flint wore during the pivotal flashbacks (see above) as he trained and bonded with Silver in the final season of Black Sails is now available to the winning bidder at VIP Fan Auctions. For more information and to view the pirate costume, which includes Flint’s custom-designed shirt and pants, click here – and get in on the bidding for this key piece of Black Sails wardrobe today!

PIRATE QUEEN

Anne Bonny may be the fiercest pirate – woman or man – ever to plunder the Caribbean. As loyal as she is vicious, Anne Bonny (played by Clara Paget in Black Sails) is, above all, fearless. She will take on a brute three times her size (and holding a sledge hammer) using nothing but her wits and two shards of glass to defeat him. She is even more deadly with a dagger and sword – and more cunning than most captains, soldiers and governors. VIP Fan Auctions is offering Anne Bonny’s signature long coat (see above) worn on-screen by her stunt double in Black Sails. The pirate coat is weathered from the sea with unique stitching and patterns that gives it an unmistakable style. LITTLE DITTY ‘BOUT JACK AND ANNE

There may be no couple more loyal to each other than Captain Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz) and shipmate Anne Bonny (Clara Paget) on Black Sails. The pirate pair are true partners in life and on the high seas – and they know each other well enough to “read between the lines” without writing in secret code, simply by knowing what the other would think and do in any given situation. Case in point: When Jack writes Anne a letter informing her that the Governor has figured out their plan and to return to Nassau for a pardon (see above), she instinctively knows to do the exact opposite – and he instinctively knows that she will do just that. It’s a pivotal letter that helps set into motion the revolution. VIP Fan Auctions is offering this screen-used letter, complete with Rackham’s calligraphic handwriting, along with several red seals for authenticity. ‘WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE SOMETHING SHINY?’

Captain Flint wanted a war. John Silver wanted love. Captain Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz) wanted to a legacy – and as much as the other two legends, he may well be the pirate who saved Nassau. Throughout the course of Black Sails, Rackham’s defining quality was loyalty to those he loved and respected – Anne Bonny, Charles Vane, and even Blackbeard. And when all was said and done, he was the man who restored pirate rule over Nassau. As Rackham himself said, “What’s it all for if it goes unremembered? It’s the art that leaves the mark. But to leave it, it must transcend. It must speak for itself. It must be true.” VIP Fan Auctions is now offering a signature piece of Rackham’s persona in the form of three of his rings (pictured above) and a necklace he wore in the finale of Black Sails. HAMMER TIME

Israel Hands (David Wilmot) may be the baddest man in the Caribbean. He sailed with Blackbeard, stared-down Captain Flint and kidnapped Long John Silver before joining the rebellion as his hammer-wielding right-hand man. In fact, Israel’s hammer might be the most lethal weapon in Black Sails – and certainly the most barbaric. He has driven its claw into the skulls, necks and torsos of numerous adversaries – and VIP Fan Auctions is offering his instrument of death and destruction to the fan who casts the winning bid. The hammer of Israel Hands is more than 1.5-feet long with an 8-inch hammer head. Best of all, the Black Sails prop hammer is constructed of hard rubber to keep from injuring any actual actors who crossed Israel’s path. Click here for photos and more information – and get a grip on Israel Hands’ hammer today. This auction is ending soon!

HONOR AMONG THIEVES

Captain Flint and John Silver are legends of the high seas – two pirates with vastly different backgrounds and personalities who grew to become the closest of friends. Silver (Luke Arnold), who became more like Flint than he might care to admit, and Flint (Toby Stephens), a force of nature who became Silver’s savior and mentor, were never more powerful than when joined together in a common cause. VIP Fan Auctions is offering two of the weapons that helped both men out of grave danger, including John Silver’s 15-inch screen-used dagger and Captain Flint’s gold-handled dagger (pictured above tucked in Flint’s belt) used on-screen in the final season of Black Sails. Click here to see all of the available Black Sails props, weapons and wardrobe items now available – and claim your piece of the epic pirate adventure today!

THE PIRATE BRAND

When you fly the black, the design of your pirate ship’s flag is as important as the branding of any business enterprise – especially when the captain is Jack Rackham. To assist him in his effort, Captain Jack enlisted the talents of a local artist named Charlotte (Angelique Pretorius), who provided him with the sketches that would ultimately define Rackham’s flag design. The set of those screen-used sketches (see photo above) are now available at VIP Fan Auctions to the Black Sails fan who post the winning bid. Click here for more information and photos, and don’t wait too long or someone else may land on the beach to snag it while your attention is directed elsewhere.
