Archive For: Heroes

Despite his status as a fictional being, Isaac Mendez (played by Santiago Cabrera) is one of the most famous artists of his generation – and the fact that his paintings predict the future made him a visionary in more ways than one. He even predicted his own untimely death at the hands of Sylar (Zachary Quinto). One of his final works (pictured above, left, next to the actual scene), an unfinished painting of Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) is now available at VIP Fan Auctions. Painted on canvas and one of three unfinished pieces by Isaac Mendez, the painting is a reproduction of the original created by Heroes’ behind-the-scenes artist Tim Sale that was used in production of the series. Do not let this piece of television history – and realy cool artwork – from the landmark NBC series today! Click here for more information and to get in on the bidding.

Heroes’ future-telling artist Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera) was featured in only 17 episodes of Heroes before he sealed his own fate by painting his own death – but his stunning artwork remains indelibly linked to the series. Mendez’s tragic self-portrait – himself with the top of his head sliced off (above) – is now available to the lucky Heroes fan that places the winning bid at VIP Fan Auctions. Featured in the Season One episode “.07 Percent,” in which Sylar (Zachary Quinto) makes the prognosticating painting come true (and then absorbs Mendez’s ability), the intense image is the production-used photo reproduction of the original Tim Sale piece. Zachary Quinto is at the top of his game. Having just wrapped the supremely creepy season of American Horror Story: Asylum and poised to return to the big screen for a second go-round as Mr. Spock in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, it can be difficult to remember that his career exploded as Sylar on Heroes. Fans of the series have a unique opportunity to own a piece of this rising star’s old-but-still-stylish wardrobe from Heroes. VIP Fan Auctions is now offering a Guess jacket and a Converse jacket he wore back in his Heroes days. Click here to see all of the current Heroes auctions – including a “Nathan Petrelli for Congress” – and get in on the bidding today (the auctions end soon)!

Before Hayden Panettiere was lighting up the stage as Juliette Barnes on the hot new drama Nashville, she was television’s most famous – and indestructible – cheerleader, Claire Bennet, on Heroes. It was an iconic role, and fans now have an opportunity to own a piece of television history by bidding on one of Claire’s actual cheerleader uniforms (pictured above) created by the Heroes props department. It seems only fitting that a world in which people have super powers would have comic book stores – if nothing else, as a source of How To manuals for learning to adjust to their special abilities. Comic book fans in this timeline, however, have their own special ability not only add to their collections, but to do so with the comic books featured on-screen in multiple episodes of Heroes. VIP Fan Auctions is now offering two sets of comic books –15 issues of Marvel’s X-Force and X-Factor and four issues of Red Circle’s (a division of Archie Comics) The Mighty Crusaders – featured in the third-season episode “The Eclipse: Part II.” Not only are these comics a great read, they have the added cachet of being part of one of the most original superhero television shows of all time! Check out the details and see other screen-used Heroes props and wardrobe items but clicking here.  Place your bid today!

One of Isaac Mendez’s (Santiago Cabrera) most haunting images is now available to one fortunate fan at VIP Fan Auctions. Featured in the first season’s “Homecoming” episode, the painting (which is a production-used photo reproduction of the original piece by Heroes’ artist Tim Sale) features a slain Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) outside the school, but the image is obscured by a splatter of black paint tossed by Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar) during the episode in an attempt to protect Peter from the painting’s prediction. Spoiler alert: It doesn’t work. This may be your last opportunity to purchase a piece of Heroes’ distinctive artwork – the auction is ending son, so bid now!

Stargate fans have claimed a ton of amazing props through VIP Fan Auctions – but few have been as creative with their newfound treasure as Stefan Z. (pictured in inset). The proud owner of a section of an actual screen-used Stargate from the franchise says he spent about 20 hours to make each of the lights functional and convert into what has to be the greatest television stand in the universe (pictured above). If one motivated fan can turn a collectable into a functional piece of furniture, we can only imagine the creative uses you’ve found for your props from the Stargate franchise, Eureka, Terra Nova, Heroes and other great series featured at VIP Fan Auctions. If you’ve made good use of one of your purchases, feel free to send us a photo at And don’t forget to check out the current Stargate auctions available now!

The now-iconic painting of the solar eclipse used in the Heroes series premiere episode, “Genesis,” is among the final batch of props from the series now available at VIP Fan Auctions (click here for all of the Heroes auctions). The piece of art was created on-screen by Heroes’ tortured artist Isaac Mendez (played by Santiago Cabrera) and off-screen by production artist Tim Sale. The piece available for auction is a huge photo reproduction of the original mounted on a 60-inch x 39-inch canvas (click here for photos of the item). Do not let this piece of T.V. history get away – place your bid today. All of the Heroes auctions are ending soon.

Dear Heroes fans: Prepare to have your minds blown! A new batch of some of the most captivating Heroes props yet was recently uncovered by the studio – and VIP Fan Auctions is making them available to fans.  Currently on the auction block is an array of items, including a screen-used Takezo Kensei prop sword featured in multiple episodes during the first two seasons of Heroes. For fans of Sylar (and shame on you for being a fan of a bad guy), the villain’s screen used U.S. National Database finger print record and Baltimore Police Department booking photo from the fourth season are also available (right now at an incredibly affordable price). There is also a true piece of political history in the form of a copy of the Odessa Register newspaper featured in the third-season premiere, which features a photo of Nathan Petrelli on the cover with the headline: “Miraculous Recovery Captures National Interest.” Don’t miss this last chance to own a piece of Heroes! While the “Hiro in the Future” issue of Isaac Mendez’s 9th Wonders comic book probably isn’t going to fetch the $2.1 million that actor Nicolas Cage’s copy of Action Comics #1 (the first appearance of Superman) was sold for at an online auction last November, but it’s still an amazing piece of pop culture history! Created by the Heroes props department for use in multiple episodes of the groundbreaking first season of the NBC series, this rare comic is now available (along with a bunch of other cool Heroes props and wardrobe items worn on-screen by Hiro Nakamura, Claire Bennett, Peter Petrelli, Sylar and more) at VIP Fan Auctions to the lucky fan who places the winning bid.
