Coming back for more

“Dexter” has been renewed by Showtime for a sixth season! With strong ratings heading into its fifth season finale, the hit series will return next year. “To grow its audience so significantly in its fifth season is an enormous accomplishment by this amazing cast and crew,” said Showtime president David Nevins. “This is the easiest decision I’ve made since I got to Showtime.” According to E! online’s Kristin Dos Santos, though no official announcement has been made. E! says the renewal is for one year, though it will “not be billed as the final season.” Apparently, once contracts with key cast members are worked out, a seventh season of the hit series is likely. Production on Season 6 begins in the spring. Stay tuned!
