IS THIS THE END FOR DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES?
ABC may see its most popular drama series sign off for good if the network can’t come to terms with key members of the “Desperate Housewives” cast. According to Businessweek.com, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria are looking for a pay raise. TV Guide estimated the stars’ salaries at roughly $400,000 per episode. “We have ambitions to pick it up,” said ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee at a Television Critics Association press tour event earlier this week. “We expect to get the agreements in place but it just hasn’t happened yet.” Teri Hatcher has reportedly signed a contract to remain with the series, and series creator Marc Cherry recently inked a two-year deal with ABC.
