Gwyneth Paltrow sings in the rain on Glee

Not since the heyday of Rhino Records have cover versions of hit songs been so popular!  Glee guest star Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Forget You” – a radio-friendly version of Cee-Lo Green’s “F— You” that aired on the Nov. 16 episode – has claimed the week’s top spot on iTunes as the most downloaded song. The No. 1 ranking marks the second straight week a song from Glee has topped the charts. The previous week, Darren Criss’s version of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” was the most downloaded song. As for the artist who made “F— You” a hit, Green admitted to OK! magazine that he missed the performance when it aired, though he expected Paltrow to do a terrific job with it. “There’s a humanity in that that song,” he told OK! “It’s flawed in a very perfectly imperfect kind of way. I mean, so if she had to put her own little quirk into it, it would’ve been just fine. It’s a quirky song as it is.”
