Black Sails remains the most addictive and intense high-seas tale ever to plunder television. The Starz series is also responsible for bringing a new generation of readers to Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel Treasure Island simply for a glimpse into the future of Black Sails stalwarts like Long John Silver and Billy Bones – two key figures in the pirate rebellion. VIP Fan Auctions is offering fans of Black Sails a chance to claim a piece of the groundbreaking series by offering daggers wielded on-screen by several pirate legends – including the dagger of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens), a blade used on-screen by Charles Vane (Zach McGowan), a weapon of choice that belonged to the cut-throat Anne Bonny (Clara Paget), Blackbeard’s (Ray Stevenson) deadly steel and a gold-handled knife used by Jack Rackham (Toby Schmitz). Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) wanted a war. The unflinching captain of the Walrus wanted it so badly that he would kill friends and enemies alike who dared stand in his way. He would steal, destroy and betray for his war – all to make England pay for taking away the one he loved back when he was known simply as James McGraw. To stop him from having his war, John Silver (Luke Arnold) couldn’t kill Flint – he had to “undo” him, the high-seas war-machine that McGraw conjured. The outfit Flint wore during the pivotal flashbacks (see above) as he trained and bonded with Silver in the final season of Black Sails is now available to the winning bidder at VIP Fan Auctions. Captain Flint and John Silver are legends of the high seas – two pirates with vastly different backgrounds and personalities who grew to become the closest of friends. Silver (Luke Arnold), who became more like Flint than he might care to admit, and Flint (Toby Stephens), a force of nature who became Silver’s savior and mentor, were never more powerful than when joined together in a common cause. VIP Fan Auctions is offering two of the weapons that helped both men out of grave danger, including John Silver’s 15-inch screen-used dagger and Captain Flint’s gold-handled dagger (pictured above tucked in Flint’s belt) used on-screen in the final season of Black Sails. Click here to see all of the available Black Sails props, weapons and wardrobe items now available – and claim your piece of the epic pirate adventure today!

John Silver and Captain Flint are like a pirate version of mismatched partners on a road trip. The silver-tongued Silver (Luke Arnold), who knows the power of a story, and the battering-ram Flint (Toby Stephens), whose relentlessness in the pursuit of whatever it is he sets his sights – together, there seems to be no odds they can’t overcome. Of course, their personalities are often backed up by brutality, and VIP Fan Auctions is offering the tools of their trade. Currently available is John Silver’s 15-inch screen-used dagger from the fourth season of Black Sails. In addition, Captain Flint’s gold-handled dagger with what appears to be the head of a griffin sculpted into the handle used on-screen in the final season of Black Sails is also on the auction block. Captain Flint (played by Toby Stephens) is a complicated man. He will let nothing stand in the way of achieving his goals, especially when that goal is seizing a Spanish ship full of gold. He will kill his friends, befriend his enemies and take any chance, no matter how dangerous, to get what he wants – and convince others to go along with him. VIP Fan Auctions is offering the long coat he wears onscreen in the third and fourth seasons of Black Sails. The open-front coat (pictured above) is custom made, designed with an eye toward authenticity and intricate detail – and it will soon belong to the Black Sails fan who casts the winning bid. “When the king brands us ‘pirates,’ he doesn’t mean to make us adversaries,” Captain Flint (played by Toby Stephens) tells his crew in the first episode of Black Sails. “He doesn’t mean to make us criminals – he means to make us monsters. For that’s the only way his god-fearing, tax-paying subjects can make sense of men who keep what is theirs and fear no one.” Flint will say or do whatever is necessary to keep his men focused on the Urca de Lima – and after establishing himself as a top earner in Nassau, there’s no reason to doubt his resolve. Fans of Black Sails have an opportunity to stake a claim their own piece of Captain Flint treasure – in the form of his screen-used dagger with a gold-and-silver handle with the head of a lion from the fourth season of the series (click here for photos and more information). Also available is Captain Flint’s custom-made pirate coat worn on-screen in multiple first-season episodes (pictured above, click here), and Flint’s stunt-double’s pirate costume, which includes his boots, belt, pants and shirt (click here). Back in the days before electricity, smartphones and the internet, back when ledgers, logs and manifests were vital to proper bookkeeping – whether a listing of pardoned pirates or patrons of Nassau brothel – a sturdy journal, good novel or encoded message was worth its weight in plundered gold. VIP Fan Auctions is offering several impressive journals featured on-screen in Black Sails, including the leather and cloth ledger used by Max (click here for photos and more information) in Season 2, Captain Vane’s second-season letter to Eleanor (click here), Rackham’s third-season hidden-message letter to Bonny (click here) and Flint and Miranda’s copies of Don Quixote and La Galatea (click here); and the sketchbook of Billy Bones (which includes two pages of sketches, click here); and a collection of novels (click here) from Captain Flint’s library.
