BATTER UP, CUTTER!

cr

As an attorney on Law & Order and L&O: Special Victims Unit, Mike Cutter (played by Linus Roache) has been known to bend the rules in the pursuit of justice. And while his official reprimand for practicing law without technically having completed his bachelor’s degree may keep him out of the D.A. hall of fame fact, that isn’t going to keep fans away from placing a bid on the character’s baseball glove and unique collection of baseballs. Featured on-screen in multiple episodes, these props – including an NYPD baseball and cricket ball (both pictured on Cutter’s desk above) – as well as the character’s official Rawlings major league baseball and baseball with a map of New York City (plus the glove) – are now available at VIP Fan Auctions. Click here to see more information and photos of the props. Pitchers and catchers have already reported for spring training – don’t get left behind! Place your bid today!

DEXTER MADE HIM BREAK BAD!

Carlo Settecase, a 21-year-old Chicago-area Nordstrom employee who allegedly stole more than $20,000 in merchandise from the store, blamed his television habits for making him think he could get away with it. According to the Pioneer Press, Settecase told police that watching characters on Breaking Bad, Dexter and The Sopranos get away with various crimes inspired him to hatch his plan of placing items into a mail tote, dropping the tote in the mail room, and then taking the merchandise from the mail room the next day. Settecase was ultimately caught on surveillance camera. Perhaps he should add Punk’d reruns and Law & Order to his TiVo season pass.

AMERICA FERRERA: BEST ACTRESS

America Ferrera as Ugly Betty

America Ferrera was awarded the Best TV Actress award for her role in Ugly Betty at the 25th Annual Imagen (Spanish for “image”) Awards in Beverly Hills. The awards ceremony honors Latin entertainers. Ferrera beat fellow nominees Sofia Vergara (Modern Family), Selena Gomez (The Wizards of Waveryl Place: The Movie), Alana de la Garza (Law & Order) and Caitlin Sanchez (Dora the Explorer). Maybe an Oscar will be next if Ugly Betty makes it to the big screen.
