The roots of the Gucci brand are in leather bags when founder Guccio Gucci was working as a hotel porter and became fascinated with the stylish suitcases of the well-heeled guests. He returned to his hometown, honed the craft and eventually opened the first Gucci store in Florence, which sold leather goods to an upscale clientele. Many Gucci (and other designer) handbags were used in the filming of House of Gucci, and VIP Fan Auctions is offering several screen-used purses to fans. Currently available are the following Gucci bags, all carried on-screen by Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani.
Black, brown and gold leather 10.5 x 12-in. Gucci purse (pictured)
Black and gold 7 x 5.5-in. Gucci handbag
Black and gold 7 x 4.5-in. Gucci handbag
Black and silver rhinestone 9.5 x 5-in. Villanueva Carey clutch (not Gucci, but used when Patrizia first meets Maurizio)
