The saga of Philadelphia fighter Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) spans more than 40 years and eight films.  And while the original may be the undisputed heavyweight champion of underdog stories and won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 1977, there is a generation of fans who will go to the mat in defense of Rocky III – featuring not only Stallone and Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed), but also Hulk Hogan (Thunderlips) and Mr. T (Clubber Lang)  at the height of their powers – as the greatest Rocky flick of all time! For those discerning fans of the Italian Stallion, VIP Fan Auctions is offering a genuine piece of film history and the artwork of a film legend in his own right – framed Rocky III concept art drafted by the legendary storyboard illustrator Fed Lucky. Before his death in 1999, Fred Lucky provided production illustrations for three Rocky films, two Rambo films and a wide variety of other movies ranging from The Fugitive to Little Giants. The framed set of three sketches depict one of the Rocky III fight scenes focusing on Adrian in the crowd, Balboa in the ring and Rocky being evaluated by a referee (click here). The pieces are collected in a framed set that also features the Rocky III logo and the words “original storyboard used in the production of Rocky III.” For more information on this unique piece of artwork, click here and join the bidding today.

The Rocky III production art represents one of dozens of rare pieces of film and TV collectibles, including props, wardrobe, art, prosthetics and autographed pieces now available at the VIP Fan Auctions 2021 Winter Memorabilia Auction Event! Check out the entire collection today!
