The Herald Bulletin put Fargo on the list of best films that found their way to TV along with other famous works such as M*A*S*Ha and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Like the 1996 film before it, FX’s Fargo has accomplished a lot by receiving praise from critics and fans since it hit airwaves in 2014.

The show is set in the same universe as the Coen brothers’ film and includes several references connecting the two stories. The original film was also written and directed by the Coen brothers, who are executive assistance for the series. The first season had a stacked cast of star power including Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and Allison Tolman, that helped it get a lot of attention and become a winner with critics, the audience and award shows. The second season will star Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson and Kirsten Dunst. It will premiere on FX this fall.
