FIVE FOR FIGHTING

It’s been said that the best offense is a good defense. For Vikings, a sturdy shield provided both by absorbing punishment and inflicting it in battle, while leaving one hand free to hold a weapon. The designs on the shields identified loyalties to family, clan or army – in addition to looking really cool – and the weapons used were straight-up brutal. Several distinctive shields (and one notorious weapon) featured on-screen in the wildly popular blood-and-guts historic drama Vikings are currently available to fans as part of the 2022 Winter Entertainment Memorabilia Auction at VIP Fan Auctions. If you’re looking for a distinctive shield or axe from one of the legendary characters of Vikings, check out these five featured Vikings props and get in the bidding now – the auction event ends this week! Here’s a sampling of what is currently available:

Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), the fierce shield maiden, carried this green, red and brown shield (pictured) during the fourth and fifth seasons of Vikings (click here for more information and photos).

Ragnar Lothbrok’s battle axe is a menacing prop weapon that is more than two-ft. long and constructed of resin and wielded on-screen by the Viking king (played by Travis Fimmel), the greatest Viking of all time (click here).

Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) is the son of Ragnar, and his distinctive shield is red with black and yellow designs constructed from wood and leather (click here).
