Finding the kids stranded in Tham Luong caves was only part of the challenge in saving their lives. The other part was getting them out through a precarious route that required traveling more than a mile-and-a-half for five hours under water. Captured in the new Ron Howard film Thirteen Lives (now streaming on Amazon Prime Video), the mission would require a daring combination of diving skill, medical expertise and massive leap of faith to bring them out – any of them – alive. In addition to the divers and doctors, a team of monks was also called on to offer prayers for the boys and VIP Fan Auctions is offering several of their screen-used instruments used in their ritual. Now available is a set that includes prayer beads, a fan and teapot (click here for photos and more information) as well as another set that includes prayer beads, fan and a more ornate tea kettle (pictured, click here). Also available is a set that contains an umbrella, staff and canteen (click here) used as the monks traveled to offer their prayers. These props now serve as a reminder never to underestimate the power of bravery, sacrifice and hope – visit the official Thirteen Lives auction site today to see these and other items from the amazing adventure.
