In the world of rock, there is no one more universally respected and admired by other musicians than Neil Young. One of the finest singer-songwriter’s on the planet, Young has been straddling the line between rock and folk since the 1960s as a founding member of Buffalo Springfield, the fourth member of Crosby, Stills and Nash, a solo artist and with the band Crazy Horse. He was dubbed the godfather of Grunge in the 1990s for his influence on bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but Young will always be best known for profoundly weaving his activism and music. Fans now have an opportunity to own a piece of rock history by placing the winning bid on a framed and autographed issue of Rolling Stone from Jan. 26, 2006 (above). Also on the auction block is an autographed vintage vinyl copy of Young’s Freedom album. Neil Young signed both of these pieces during rehearsals for his performance at the 2013 MusiCares® Person of the Year Tribute to Bruce Springsteen.
