SISTER ACT

The Franklin family had no shortage of talent, and while Aretha Franklin is in a class by herself, her youngest sister, Carolyn, was a talented singer-songwriter in her own right and penned, among others, the hit Ain’t No Way (she was also featured in the classic diner scene with older sister Aretha in The Blues Brothers). Likewise, Aretha’s older sister, Erma Franklin, was a gospel and soul recording artist. While the new biopic Respect focuses on Aretha’s rise, Carolyn and Erma play important roles – and VIP Fan Auctions is offering young Carolyn’s teddy bear and suitcase, which are featured on-screen in Respect as she runs outside with her siblings to greet her mother (click here for photos and more information). Also available are Carolyn and Erma’s purple gowns, shoes and earrings worn on-screen as they sing backup for Aretha during a performance of “Natural Woman” (click here for Erma’s and here for Carolyn’s), Click here for photos and more information about this distinctive piece of Respect – and join the bidding today.
